    39 mm slip-fit • Left or Right mount • Stainless steel with support strap

    This E-marked silencer (Herald Café Racer 400 type) is certified to UNECE Regulation 92 for motorcycles up to 650 cm³. The E-mark applies only when the dB-killer insert is installed. Follow the guidelines below before riding on public roads.

    Keep insert installed; carry E-mark certificate for inspection.

    Universal Fitting Instructions

    • Slip fit on Ø 39 mm header; for other diameters, use a stepped adaptor sleeve (not supplied).
    • Position on left or right; rotate so logo faces outward.
    • Install stainless support strap around can — bolt to frame tab with supplied M8 × 30 bolt, nyloc nut & spacer; torque 25 N·m.
    • Tighten clamp to 45 N·m; check for 10 mm clearance to swing-arm & tyre at full travel.
    • Re-torque after first heat-cycle; inspect fixing every 1 000 km.

    Maintenance & Sound Control

    • Retain dB-killer and fibre packing to maintain homologation.
    • Clean welds with stainless polish; avoid acidic cleaners.
    • Repack glass-wool every 10 000 km for consistent tone.

     

    ⚠️ Removing the insert or exceeding legal noise levels can lead to fines, MOT/ITV failure, or registration cancellation. Install and use at your own risk.
