This hand-formed screen mounts to the front-indicator stalk bosses and gives light wind deflection with a vintage look. Projection, edge-radius and lamp-visibility rules differ worldwide — review the table below before using the bike on public roads.
Region | Key Rules | Your Checklist |
---|---|---|
USA | FMVSS 108 (lamp beam) & handle-bar clearance | Screen must not obscure head-lamp cut-off or amber indicators. Bars full lock L/R → gap ≥ 20 mm to clutch/brake levers & cables. Top edge under rider eye-line or radius > 2.5 mm. |
EU / UK | UNECE R41 noise projection & MOT visibility | Edge radius ≥ 2.5 mm (supplied beaded rim meets spec). Must not deflect head-lamp beam upward > 0.5°; re-aim lamp after fitment. Indicators remain 240 mm apart → pass MOT/ITV visual test. |
Australia / NZ | ADR 42/04 – general safety projections | Screen projection ≤ 150 mm forward of bars; height ≤ 30 mm above gauges. Use supplied rubber edging on top lip to meet < 3 mm-radius rule. Verify no contact with brake hose at full fork compression. |
⚠️ Improper fitment, interference with controls, or sharp edges can cause loss of control and serious injury. Verify clearance and bolt torque before every ride.
⚠️ California Proposition 65: This product can expose you to chemicals including hexavalent chromium (from anodising). For more information visit P65Warnings.ca.gov.
