    This replacement cap features a one-way breather valve and seal. Fitment rules differ by region — follow the guidelines below.

    USA EPA 40 CFR 1060 (evap) & FMVSS 301 (fuel integrity) Cap is vented one-way (anti-vacuum) and does not delete the evap system.
    Hand-tighten “until snug”; do not use tools.
    Inspect O-ring every 12 months.
    EU / UK Reg.(EU) 168/2013 – Stage V evap limit Breather valve ≤2 g m⁻² d⁻¹ equivalent; keep charcoal canister in place.
    Replace O-ring if fuel smell is detected.
    Australia / NZ ADR 79/04 (Euro 5) evaporative
    Acceptable as replacement part when fitted to stock evap plumbing.
    Ensure no fuel vapour leakage; annual roadworthy may inspect.

    Universal Fitting Instructions

    • Clean filler-neck threads; apply light film of engine oil to new Viton® O-ring.
    • Screw cap by hand only clockwise until the seal seats — typical torque ≈ 2 N·m.
    • Vent hole underneath must remain unobstructed; do not cover with tank bag magnet.
    • Check for leaks after first ride; replace spare O-ring if seepage occurs.

     

    ⚠️ A blocked vent or damaged seal can cause fuel leakage, tank deformation, fire or loss of engine power. Install and use at your own risk.
