    Installation & Safety Notice — Front-Fork Guards

    These aluminium guards shield the lower fork‐legs from stone-chips and trail debris. Fitment rules differ by region — check the table below before riding on public roads.

     

    Region Key Rules / Checks Your Responsibilities
    USA FMVSS 122 (brake-hose clearance) & FMVSS 108 (lamp visibility) Confirm the guards do not touch ABS sensor wire or brake hose on full fork compression / steering lock.
    Reflective side-markers must remain unobstructed.
    EU & UK UNECE R53 (lighting) & MOT visual inspection Ensure guards do not cover the front reflector or create sharp edges (< 2.5 mm radius).
    MOT/ITV may fail if any part fouls the brake line.
    Australia / NZ ADR 42/04 (general safety) No sharp projections permitted beyond 5 mm.
    Wheel must turn freely through full suspension travel after installation.

    Universal Fitting Instructions

     

    • Clean fork-leg surface; slide guard upward until the recesses locate against the axle clamp.
    • Secure with supplied M5 stainless screws & nyloc nuts; tighten to 5 N·m (44 lbf·in).
    • Turn handlebars full left/right & compress fork to verify ≥ 3 mm clearance to brake hose and ABS wire.
    • Re-check fastener torque after the first 100 km / 60 mi and every 5 000 km thereafter.

     

    ⚠️ Improper fitment, interference with brake hoses or sharp edges can cause brake failure, loss of control and serious injury. Install and use at your own risk.
